01<@Ardweden> [Joan and Kali go to face the music! The source of which is not too difficult to find now that they're looking for it... after weaving through the crystal trees for a few minutes off the path, they come across a satyr.] 06* Joan raises an eyebrow. "Not what I expected," she comments to Kali. 01<@Ardweden> [For serious, he's got a shaggy brown goat bottom, a beard, curly hair that matches the shaggy bottom, and curling goat horns. And he's very occupied in playing pipes.] 06* Kali whispers back. "Not exactly what I was either." Do you zuppose 'e is friendly? 01<@Ardweden> [Next to him, in the clearing (he's leaning on a tree at the edge, by the way) is a stone statue of a lovely naked woman with leaves, or feathers? Or both? made of precious metals and gems sticking out of her hair. And they stick out a LONG way - like, two feet, at all angles on the right side to straight up. None on the left, for some reason. Her hands are folded.] 01<@Ardweden> [And her eyes open (revealing stone eyes), followed by her mouth, and she says to Kali, "You look cold."] 01<@Ardweden> [Her voice is deep and gravely, but definitely female.] 06* Kali looks at the statue for a moment and looks taken aback for a second. "You can talk?" 01<@Ardweden> [She tilts her head... slowly. "Obviously. Who are you?" She seems genuinely curious.] 01<@Ardweden> [Meanwhile, the satyr continues playing.] 01<@Ardweden> [It's a nice, drowsy melody, though nothing the two of you recognize.] 06* Kali looks at the statue with a hard look for a moment. "Kali. Why is that satyr playing here?" Joan, at your service. 01<@Ardweden> [The female statue nods, down then up. "Toci. This is Puck. It's only fair. And I don't know the song. He's helping a friend."] Who? 06* Kali tilts her head a little. "Puck?" She glances at Puck for a moment. 01<@Ardweden> ["Yes." The statue tilts her head slowly the other way, now to the left.] Who is his friend, if I may ask? What ees 'e 'elping with? 01<@Ardweden> ["A question for a question?" Toci asks. "All even, all fair?"] That's two questions. 01<@Ardweden> [Toci rolls her eyes, or looks like she's probably rolling her eyes. "You want me to answer two questions. If I answer one, will you answer one of mine?"] Anszwer mine. It will depend on the question, of course. But we're willing to entertain it. 01<@Ardweden> ["I'm not sure I want to answer, then," Toci says. She sounds disappointed.] Joan will answer for her question. I will answer for mine.
