01<@Ardweden> [Day: Thursday, September 16. Time: The end of school!] 01<@Ardweden> [The last bell just rung, and you're all heading to your lockers. Well, all of you but Tyler, probably, who ditched school by the end of the lunch period. Convenient, because you may well end up talking about him.] 01<@Ardweden> [As a refresher, today Sydney missed lunch entirely as she wandered the halls completely lost. Tiffany had a "talk" with Tony, and afterwards she and Javy kissed. Tyler skipped school. Hank left early in lunch due to his sister calling him, but she's calmed down and he returned to classes by the end of lunch.] 01<@Ardweden> [Just yesterday, you've talked to Penelope at the Lunatic Fringe, with varying levels of success.] 01<@Ardweden> [Good? Good! Session Start!] 06* Javy heads for his locker, looking somewhat dazed. It's been a pretty busy day. He pops open the door, and starts trading things in and out. 06* Javy sets his oboe case by his feet, and surveys the rest of his books, trying to figure out what he really needs to do this evening. 06* Sydney arrives at her locker! She's probably been looking for it since mid- morning. She waves to Javy, then starts rummaging around for books. 06* Hank arrives at his locker before long. "'Sup Javy," he says tiredly. 06* Javy waves back, and sorts out the rest of his books. He looks over at her again curiously, and then nods to Hank, still looking curious. "Hey. Uh. How's... how are you?" 06* Hank gets his books. "Tired mostly. Too much stuff goin' on at once." 06* Javy nods. "I, uh... I didn't see you. Um. Back at lunch, I mean. So, uh, then, too?" 06* Hank nods. "Yeah, sorry. Something came up." 06* Javy nods, and looks hesitant. He starts off mumbling a bit, and ends up on, "... need help?" 06* Sydney finishes her exchanging of books and goes over to join Javy and Hank. 06* Hank shakes his head. "Don't worry none, 's personal stuff." He waves to Sydney as she arrives. "Hey Syd." Hi, guys! What's going on? 06* Javy looks unsure still, but he's not going to press it. "Hey. Uh... just, just getting ready. To go. Are you... um. I, we didn't see you either. At lunch." Ah, yeah, I got distracted. I'm okay, though. Yeah, um, okay. Uh. Good. 06* Javy scratches his elbow. "Just, um, it was..." He doesn't really know where to go with that. You guys all right? Did something happen? Nah. I mean, no offense Syd, But it's personal 'n all. 06* Sydney tilts her head slightly. "Not something you can tell me about, then?" 06* Hank shakes his head. 06* Javy looks down at the oboe case. "I don't know that, either, but. Yeah, uh... it's. For me, um, us, though. Um. Well. At lunch, in the cafeteria, uh... Tiffany went to go sit with, um. Not with us. Nate and me. With... with Tyler. It kinda... it didn't go great." 06* Sydney nods to Hank, and is about to say something, but then Javy speaks up and she closes her mouth. Then opens it. Then closes it again. Finally, she settles on an ever-so-eloquent, "Wait, what?" Ain't surprised. 06* Javy nods. "It... I, I'm not sure. What happened, totally. Um. I think it was mostly... I mean, I couldn't hear. From the table I was at. But, it's..." He trails off, and then tries, "I think it was, uh... more Tony. He kinda... he knocked her food over. Like. Pretty on purpose." 06* Hank narrows his eyes. "He did, huh?" And then he took her out, like... out of the cafeteria. And... Is she okay?! Where is she? 06* Javy blinks a couple of times. "And then... Tyler beat, like... uh. He punched his... his food up." He looks up at Sydney, and blinks owlishly. "Yeah, uh." He colors slightly. "I, uh... I..." He fumbles for words. "I checked. She was... she was okay, but..." He looks around. "I don't know where. Now." What do you mean, you checked? She still with him? 06* Javy colors more. "I, uh, I followed them, and... they... she was fine. I, uh... we talked after. I checked." He sort of looks off down the hall. "But, uh... I don't know. Now. Uh, where she is." But she ain't with him? He didn't hurt her, did he? 06* Javy swallows, and tries, "Uh... not... I mean, I didn't see, but... it... she." He shakes his head frustrated. "Let's find her. Okay?" ... Yeah, maybe we better. Where were they last? Yes, let's. 06* Javy takes out his cell phone. "I... let me try calling." He keys in her number! Oh, good idea! 01<@Ardweden> [Javy hears the phone ring once, twice, then it cuts to voicemail, in Tiffany's voice: "Hi, you've reached Tif. I'm not answering right now, so leave your message after the beep." It's a little difficult to hear with the crowd passing nearby.] 01<@Ardweden> [There's a beep!] 06* Javy blinks, and after a beat, says, "Hey, uh, Tiffany, it's me. Uh. Javy. Just... just wondering what's, uh, up. With you. Call me back. Ah, when you get this. Thanks. Um... later." Great. 06* Javy closes up his phone. "She, uh... she wasn't there," he says helpfully. Hm. Should we go look for her? If'n ya have any idea where she is. 06* Sydney looks at Javy. "I'm not the person to figure out where someone is." 06* Javy thinks, and nods. "Yeah. Uh, let's look. We're... we're done here, right? I got mine." Yeah, I'm done. 06* Hank nods. "Go ahead." He cracks his knuckles. 06* Javy looks a bit worried at that, picks up his oboe, and heads off down the hall, trying to think where to go first. 06* Javy mumbles to himself some while he's walking, running through some options. "Should, uh... we split up? Or... maybe not." I would rather stick with at least one of you. 01<@Ardweden> [Javy's phone beeps that he's received a text message.] 06* Javy stops at the end of the hall and checks it! 01<@Ardweden> [Tiffany: ?] 06* Javy texts back quickly. "Hey. Where are you? Got all my stuff, here with Hank and Syd." 01<@Ardweden> [Javy's phone beeps after a couple of minutes. Tiffany: go on w/o me. hangin out wit c] 06* Javy blinks, and relaxes. He texts back, "Okay, have fun. Talk with you later." And then to Syd and Hank, "It's, uh, it's okay. She's... she's hanging out with Christina." Huh. Guess she's fine then. Yeah, nothing wrong with hanging out with other friends. 06* Javy nods. "Yeah. Uh... it's fine. I... so. Uh. What do you want to, to do?" Haven't got anything in particular in mind. Was there anything you guys wanted to talk about from last night? Now that ya mention it, yeah. 06* Javy looks around. "If... if you want to talk, then... we still should go. Um. Somewhere. Just... I mean. Not in the hall. Right?" 06* Hank shrugs. "Suit yerself." Library, maybe? Or is that still too public? 06* Javy nods, and switches hands for the case. "That should work." Aight. 06* Javy heads that way, then. 06* Sydney follows! 01<@Ardweden> [Blipzoom! Twenty or so minutes later, you all end up at the library. You even got the study room you had commandeered before. Sweet!] 06* Javy puts his oboe case under the table, his bag on it, and himself next to it. 06* Hank takes a seat at the table, dumping his books to the side and leaning back in his chair. 06* Sydney puts her backpack onto the floor and flops into a third chair. 06* Javy looks at Hank curiously. Aight, so like I said last night, there ain't no reason we were picked other than it was convenient for the Raven. There ain't no binding force holding us together aside from a sense of obligation toward the Raven for helpin' us out of a jam. So there ain't no reason we have to work with that shitbag Tyler. 06* Javy looks conflicted, but doesn't say anything yet. He looks at Syd. I'm worried about what he'd do if left to his own devices, though. Probably not half the damage he'd do if we kept bringing him along. 06* Javy looks at Hank, a bit confused by that. "Uh... what do you mean? We kick him out an' what? He'll prob'ly bungle around the Dream World til he pisses off something bigger than him and gets eaten. Or we can take him with us, deep into other people's dreams, where he can really fuck things up. 06* Sydney frowns and plays with the end of her ponytail for a bit. "I know we're supposed to be responsible for our own actions, but I don't want to be indirectly responsible for him getting eaten. Or directly, despite threatening to bite him at least once." So tell him not to enter the Dream World again. Then it ain't your fault if he does. 06* Javy looks back and forth between them, still trying to figure out what he wants to say. 06* Sydney rests her chin on her hands. "Telling somone who's not very likely to listen to me *not* to do something doesn't seem like it's actually getting me out of responsibility. Not that I have any ideas myself." 06* Javy finally comes up with, "And... I mean. Can't we... I don't want... if he asked, um. The Raven. Then... I mean, it's still... there could still be something, and... can't we just... can't we talk with him? He might, uh... he might get it." 06* Hank snickers at that. "Yeah. Sure he will." All he's gotta do is change his entire personality. He might listen. He... I could try. Or... he just needs to, um. Hold back. Right? When we're in there. That's... that's something. He's... it's not, it's not everything. 06* Sydney blinks and lifts her head back up. "What's not everything?" Just... Tyler. He's... I know he's, he's... Tyler, but... 06* Javy swallows. "He has... I don't know. He could help, he's not, like, not hopeless." I'll believe that when I see it. Meantime, he nearly fucked things up for Nate and he nearly fucked things up for Tony. I don't understand him at all. I mean, I don't understand things about a lot of people, but I really don't understand him. What does he want, exactly? I don't get the type of person who gets off on making other people miserable. Popularity, probably. Popularity 'n power. I guess? 06* Hank shrugs. "Probably. What other reason could there be?" 06* Sydney looks slightly dubious but says nothing. 06* Javy shakes his head. "But it's not, uh, the him here we... we need to worry about. Um. He doesn't really. With us here, anyway. He's got his own, his own people, friends. It's there we need it." How you figure? He's the same person, here or there. Only difference is there his appearance refelcts his personality better. 06* Sydney drums her fingers on the table. "Nah, he's not really a demon out here." I just... if he... he doesn't have to, to... he could do better there. We don't, we don't have to be the same. There and here. 06* Hank shakes his head. "I don't like it. An' I don't trust him." 01<@Ardweden> [Session End!]
