After her meeting with Kaede, Haruko was left uncertain whether he'd pass 
on anything directly to Akemi, so the next morning, May 18, 2018, she 
sent an note. Ever since the mechanics photo shoot she'd start seeing 
Akemi more, going to some of her performances and rehearsals and hanging 
by to say hi afterwards. This extends beyond just theater, though Haruko 
is only interested in modeling when it gives her outfit ideas or if their 
are automobiles involved and its harder to say hi after fancy public 
events anyways, fortunately most of Akemi's work is in studios anyways, 
so it's mostly a moot point. 

In turn, Haruko has been low-key inviting Akemi to more stuff, typically 
with the Shin-Okubo crew, stuff she thinks Akemi might be interested in 
if she miraculously has some time, student discount night at some 
performance or exhibit, checking out some new club, friend-of-a-friend's 
band, or just some festival. She wants Akemi to be able to pick a venue 
she's comfortable with though, so she first raises it via a mailed not.

The envelope is small and has her address on it. There's a small card 
with a monotone wood print depiction of a motorcycle parked along a 
scenic highway at night. Looks like an actual inking rather than a 
printing, and the quality is more that of a hobbyist, though definitely 
nicer than anything Haruko could have managed on her own. This wouldn't 
be the first mailed note Akemi would receive from Haruko, she would have 
sent out play invites to those that didn't make the party.

In this time of beautiful spring days, I apologize for writing on 
unpleasant matters. When you have the chance there's something important 
I'd like to talk to you about. It's heavy, messy, and personal for both 
of us, so I didn't want to spring it on you while we were doing something 
fun.

The timing isn't urgent, it's more important that we have some room to 
talk in a place where we do not need to fear be overheard.
