06* Kaede takes the first steps out of the restaurant, holding the door 
open until Katie is able to exit with him. After she does, he takes a 
deep breath, mist coalescing in the crisp air. "Just like old times, 
isn't it?"
 06* Katie takes a deep breath, like she hadn't been breathing the entire 
time in the restaurant. She looks up at the sky. "Yes."
 06* Kaede leans against the side of the entry-way wall, looking up at 
the sky slightly as well. "Thoughts?" are all he says.
 01<Katie> We're going to have to talk to him.
<Kaede> Obviously.
 01<Katie> He's distracted by Satoshi, but...
 01<Katie> I mean, we can keep him distracted, if we want.
 01<Katie> That's not difficult.
 06* Katie frowns slightly. "But... I don't think that's fair."
 01<Katie> What did you get?
 06* Kaede puts his hands in his pockets carefully. "I'm not getting that 
he's a *threat*. Which is the important thing. But I'm also not clear on 
the agenda. He's too...his conversations are too...*normal.*"
 06* Katie nods in agreement.
 01<Katie> He's looking for answers for the last three years. That's... 
in line.
 06* Kaede straightens up and pinches his nose. "He has an aunt. Also he 
doesn't want to tell us about the Izumi thing. But he was just asking her 
about a coffee date."
 06* Kaede adds, "So they're obviously close enough to be worried about 
each other. At least right now."
 01<Katie> Izumi was... there was more than one Izumi. I can't place her. 
But it doesn't matter, probably.
 06* Katie sighs. "Not in this case. He seems honest to me. Nervous and 
curious and taken with Satoshi."
 06* Kaede breathes and looks up at the sky. "He's nervous about us. I 
can't say I would blame him. Six against one..."
 01<Katie> Yeah.
 01<Katie> One on one would make him more comfortable.
 06* Katie shoves her hands into her pockets. "It's not fair for him to 
not know, if he wants to," she says softly. "Remember how hard it was for 
us?"
 06* Kaede nods slightly and breathes. "Kyon's an in. He works at school 
with him. And you know he'd be curious. Even if he wouldn't show it."
 01<Katie> I don't know. They worked together, but they didn't stay in 
touch.
 06* Kaede then frowns at Katie's words and shoves his hands harder into 
his pockets. "...I know. Fortunately, I was shanghai'd into it. I *still* 
remember Ryo..."
 06* Katie makes a face. "<Little asshole,>" she mutters in English.
 06* Kaede frowns harder. "That day..."
 06* Kaede looks at Katie and his lips quiver in what seems to be *part* 
of a smirk. "<Little?>" That's the only part he's questioning here...
 06* Katie looks down the street. "We need to find out what he knows. And 
he needs to at least think we're on his side. That means giving him 
something first." She sighs. "I'm going to have to break up the party." 
Her expression twists a bit, and she puts her head in her hand. 
"Harukooooo."
 06* Kaede nods and glances back in carefully, expression neutral again. 
"I'll follow your lead. Shall we, then?"
 06* Katie smiles a little at Kaede, then heads back in, taking her coat 
off on the way to their table.
