[Monday, February 16, 2004.] Ardweden: Katie DOES go meet with Kaede for lunch on Monday, the 16th. Rowyn: Kaede'd confront Katie about the chocolates. Ardweden: What's confrontational about chocolates? Rowyn: She snuck it there! Rowyn: She didn't even knock or say hello! Rowyn: Or give it in person! Ardweden: Oh. Ardweden: Seriously, that's the Katie response: "Oh." Ardweden: But then she'd fidget a little and say, "I didn't want to talk to anyone that day." Pause, looking away. "But I did want to thank you, so... thank you." * Kaede sighs, relents, and says, "Okay." But sometimes I still want to talk to _you_. But thank you. For the thank you. And the chocolates. We won't talk about Shiraishi-san's reaction. * Katie nods and says, "We can talk now." [And that leads to the rest of the conversation!] Ardweden: She's doing quite well. She can talk, generally, about what happened on the 13th. (If asked, she'll say she wasn't ready for the ending in that book, even though she knew that asshole was spying on her.) She'll apologize quite a bit for fucking everything up like she did - she's mostly upset that she scared people - and thank him for going after her, really. Rowyn: This is book 2? Ardweden: Yes, this is book 2. She'll tell him she can get him a copy (like she said over the e-mail). And she's going to ask him if he can look into this social media thing that her classmate's involved in. * Kaede'd probably call her ridiculous for thinking she ruined thing and that in her position he's not sure what he would have done either. (Look at Kaede. Showing he cares by calling someone ridiculous.) * Katie hugs Kaede. * Kaede blinks and says "what?" * Katie beams! And boops his nose. "So you'll look into the social media project, right?" The last thing we need is people pretending to be *us*. Even if they're fictional people. * Kaede says that basically if there's anyone he'd trust with knowing what to do it's her. He'll sighs, accepts a copy, then wonders when he'll have time to _read_ it. Also, Katie can call. Any time. Even when she thinks she doesn't want to bother him. Make time. Being an Arcana is bullshit. Of course I make time. I always make time. Somehow I think making infinite time is my super power. [At the very end, after they finish lunch and are ready to go their separate ways:] What *was* Akemi's reaction? (paraphrased) "You have a secret admirer!" "...It's just Katie, Shiraishi-san. " "Katie's your secret admirer! I knew it!" [End!]
