Appearance and Personality

Height: 5'1"

Anstace has long light-brown hair that hangs below her waist, gathered in a loose braid. Her unblemished porcelain skin gives her the look of a classic marble statue at times, and this is often augmented by her stoic nature. Her hazel eyes rarely show anything but scholarly impartiality. She has an athletic build with curves, and carries herself with a nobility learned and ingrained as part of the highest caste in her native Sparta.

Uncomfortable in the constrictive and binding clothes of the current age, Anstace favors the traditional costumes of Spartan women of her time, and has no qualms about being completely naked despite the beliefs regarding modesty common to the present. When forced to wear modern garb, she often fidgets and squirms, regardless of how loosely they are laced or bound.

To most, Anstace’s personality is indifferent, cold and abrasive. She is blunt, tactless and often seems unconcerned with the feelings of those she interacts with. She does, however, show respect to her Prince and those of higher station. Provided that they are not Brujah (Newjah).

But there is more to her than a one-dimensional, emotionless statue. While her clan is not known for having or showing any feelings, she does experience the normal range of emotions. They are, however, trapped inside (and visible if you attempt to read her aura).

Anstace loves collecting and trading knowledge. She assesses the value of anything she is taught or that is shared with her and trades or teaches something of equal value. She meticulously tracks any open accounts, and revalues them accordingly until she has paid off the balance. She has also never lost her fascination with mechanical devices – especially clocks and calendars. Of course this is more difficult in the current age, as much of the technology of the ancient world has been lost to all but her.
