Appearance and Personality

Peter is a square-looking man - square face, square hands, square build. He's on the short end of average, about 5'7" or 5'8", with wide shoulders. His hair is brown scattered with grey, and it's cut short. He has brown eyes in a weathered face. His nose is crooked and he has several scars, though not all of them are in readily-visible places. Being as he's a priest, he wears a habit, generally in some shade of brown or grey.

Peter is the solid, dependable type. He cares a great deal about the spiritual well-being of his parishioners, as well as their personal happiness and physical well-being. He tends to be casual about it, though. Still, his parishioners are almost universally very fond of him. He's a good man, and also very down-to-earth and approachable. He prefers to do things himself with his own hands - he does almost all the work of maintaining the church himself.

History

Peter actually has something of a wild past. He was originally one of the younger sons of a minor noble family. He acted out quite a lot when he was young. There was a great deal of drinking, bar brawls, flirting, and sleeping around. Eventually, after gentler remonstrances failed to stop this behavior, his parents packed him off to the church to learn some restraint (and hopefully a few other things). He wasn't best pleased with this at first, but he eventually had a change of heart, got ordained, and wound up at the Church of St. Raphael just outside London. He's been serving there happily ever since.
