[Jill has apparently made her way to a recessed cave not far from the Thames, with the last rays of the sun peeking over the horizon, the sun having just set.] [Now she gets to go inside! She might even describe herself first. What could be inside! Perhaps just a bear. Rolf.] 06* Jill is a young woman who looks about nineteen years old, with hazelnut hair recently cut short, above the shoulder. Her eyes are green (greener than when Rolf first met her), her skin is flawless, and she takes delicate but purposeful steps towards the cave. She's wearing what would be slightly better than peasant's garb: pants, a long tunic, and pointed shoes in dark grays and rusty red-brown. 06* Jill is also carrying a sealed piece of parchment paper, which might be the reason she's seeking out the bear. She takes one, then two steps into the cave before she stops. "Lord Rolf?" she calls in English, her voice echoing slightly. 06* Rolf doesn't respond immediately, although after a few moments there's a low growl from within the cave, then, "Jill?" A pause, then, "Too much to hope it's just a visit, eh, little lady?" There's the sudden flicker of light in the darkness, as if around a corner. 06* Jill blinks, and she takes a breath as she forces her senses to sharpen and adjust. "I guess so." She smiles, a little shyly, and says, "But my lady would call it, uh... a 'beneficial side effect'." 06* Rolf lets out a low, rumbling chuckle, then says, "Come on down." 06* Jill smiles more fully and does, then, rounding the corner without the caution she moved with before. 06* Rolf is standing in the midst of his lair, wearing only breeches. He's a reasonably handsome lad for a six foot-some giant, and definitely rocks the body hair. He looks down at Jill with a broad, though still feral, grin. The lair itself pretty much looks like a small hunter's retreat, although some odd pieces of armor or weaponry or even a book or two might be a surprise. 06* Rolf looks her over, then says, still with a smile, "Still lookin' well." 06* Jill is veritably dwarfed by Rolf, being only 5'4", so she has to look up quite a bit to meet his eyes. "Thanks. Lady Eliana's been good about making sure I'm taken care of." She runs her fingers through her hair and averts her gaze. "I know enough Latin to keep up with people talking now." 06* Rolf smiles a bit and says, "Sounds like a good start. I remember when I... uh..." he trails off and chuckles slightly, rubbing his own head, before saying, "So, uh, if you want to have a seat, I still have the chair." He points to one chair that has a little dust on it. 06* Jill blinks, then laughs. "Sure. If it's okay?" She walks over to the chair and brushes dust off with a corner of her tunic. 06* Rolf nods and says, "Yeah, it's okay." 06* Rolf walks over nearer to the chair and sits down himself, legs bent to one side. It brings them closer in height! "I don't get a lotta visitors, but I don't use this place all the time either. But since we're stuck in London... " he trails off. 01 Because of the murder, right? Lady Eliana told me about it. She was pretty angry. 06* Jill sits on the chair and smooths her tunic. 06* Rolf smiles just a touch. "Yeah, I guess she'd let you know she was angry. Hell, I'm angry. Some guy comes around to talk to us, then we all get blamed for him dyin'." 06* Rolf shakes his head. "Damn political shit... ain't even like they're doin' it for their country or others or... nothin'." 06* Rolf then looks to Jill and has the decency to look abashed. "Ah... sorry, miss. Just angry too, I guess." 01 It's okay. I don't understand, really, but it makes sense. It's not like *you* did anything. 06* Rolf rubs his head again and says, "Sometimes I forget to watch my tongue around a lady, is all." He licks his lips, then looks directly at Jill. "So I guess she's got a message for me, does she?" 06* Jill holds the letter she was carrying out to Rolf. "Yeah. That's what this is about, anyway. She told me to give this to you." 06* Rolf nods and leans in to grab the letter from her with a big paw, then pulls it back to pull it open. "So, uh, you doin' anything other than learnin'?" he asks as he mangles the letter slightly before reading it. 01 Oh, well... I run errands, sometimes. Because she can't go out during the day, you know. 06* Rolf nods slightly as he tries to read the letter. "Yeah... I know how that goes..." 01 [The letter is in Latin! It says: "Rolf, the others and I had reconvened at the manor to continue our investigation. Unfortunately, we have no conclusive leads as of yet. The footprints that went into the courtyard effectively disappeared where the corpse was found, and while Lord Mithras was kind enough to allow us into the wing they'd come from, we have no further evidence, just speculation."] 01 ["At my suggestion, we're checking contacts within our own clans as to who this Renier was, who were his enemies and friends, and what factions would gain from murdering an emissary from the Court of Love. I also intend on seeing if there is a ritual or discipline that would explain the lack of tracks from the scene. We mean to meet again tonight - outside of London this time."] 01 ["Enclosed are directions. Please come. It would be nice to have someone I can largely trust around. Yours, Eliana Casale."] 06* Jill is watching Rolf read. She doesn't even fidget! That much. 06* Rolf lets out a loud snort. "Largely trust. I almost think that is some sort of wordplay." 06* Jill laughs. "You are tall." 06* Rolf cracks a smile and looks to her. "Yes, that I am, little lady." 06* Rolf looks down at the letter, then says, "She's invitin' me to her lookin' around. Guess I can't stay away from it." 06* Jill tilts her head, looking at Rolf curiously. "Do you want to?" 06* Rolf lets out a big growlfy sigh. "Well, I have to, 'cause I don't plan on dyin' with people thinkin' I killed some little guy for nothin'." 01 Well... I want to help in any way I can. I know I can't do much, but... Just ask, okay? 06* Rolf nods slightly and says, with a smile, "Alright, little lady, I'm sure if we need your help, Eliana will let you know, or I will." 06* Jill nods. "Good." She smiles. "So, what've you been doing? Besides people not killing a guy for no reason." 06* Rolf chuckles in a low rumble, then says, "Oh... prowling. Something happened in the village down the way, I had to put down some... undead thing." 01 Oh, wow. Was it huge? I'm guessing it wasn't a vampire. 06* Rolf shakes his head slightly and says, "Not too huge, but tough. 't'd grabbed a farmer and ate half through him." He nods and finishes, "Ended up settin' it on fire after I tore it apart... fixes most things." 06* Jill makes a face, then looks away, towards one rounded corner of the cave. "I'm glad." 01 There's so much evil out there, I'm glad... there's someone like you, helping people. 06* Rolf smiles slightly, then says, "I try. I mean, I ain't perfect or nothin..." he trails off, then says, "But we each gotta do the best with what we got, right?" 06* Jill bites her lower lip, then nods. "Yeah," she says, softly. 06* Rolf smiles back and reaches over and pats her shoulder lightly. "Don't look so down, little lady. You did all she wanted, right?" 06* Jill starts slightly, and she looks up at Rolf. "Yes, sorry, I just-" 01 I was just thinking. About how, before, I would've thought you were just some monster if I knew- and Lady Eliana too, before- I'm sorry. I'm really thankful, it's just so confusing sometimes. 06* Rolf nods slightly, then says, "I would've thought the same, little lady." 01 But you're not. You're one of the kindest people I've ever met. 06* Rolf 's eyes look down slightly and then he chuckles weakly and then says, "Well, uh, thank you kindly, miss." 01 It's just the truth. 06* Rolf chuckles, then says, "Well, thank you." He licks his lips, then stands back up slowly. 06* Jill stands, too, once Rolf moves to give her the space to do so. "So..." She hesitates, then says, "If there isn't anything else, um... I should probably go. Lady Eliana might need me." 06* Rolf nods slightly and says, "No, no... nothin' 'cept my hospitality." He chuckles slightly and says, "You can go, Jill. Keep safe." 01 You as well, Lord Rolf. 06* Jill smiles at the oversized Gangrel-bear again, then heads out of the cave. 06* Rolf watches Jill go, then lets out a growl before he rubs his head for a moment. "Lord Rolf... and I didn't even get knighted first..." [INTROSPECTION BEAR. Mini end.]
