<@Dreol> [London August 30th 1251, 11:00 PM] <@Dreol> [You have all decided to return to the farmhouse to solidify some plans, and possibly leave if necessary, and somebody has remembered to invite Cosimo and Thalaba who are there, although Thalaba is quiet, apparently.] <@Dreol> [You are all arriving about now...] <@Dreol> [Begin.] #06* Ysabeau Looks around displeased with the dusty farm house. "Can't we meet in a place with more... class?" #06* Eliana isn't there yet. She has to walk a really long way. #06* Moriel steps through the door about then and says quietly, "Good evening, Mistress Bellamy. If you have access to such a place and are willing to share it, please, go ahead." As of yet, no, but I am new to the area so maybe soon. #06* Moriel tilts his head. "Ah, well then." He takes a seat and folds his hands to wait for the others. #06* Rolf joins the group! He's still Rolf, and looks just like Rolf, and tries to hold up walls by leaning on them, like Rolf. #06* Eliana enters shortly after Rolf, hood up and bag over one shoulder. "Evening," she says by way of greeting. #06* Moriel nods from his sitting position and somehow manages to give the impression of a bow anyway. "Good evening, Mistress Casale, Master Rolf." #06* Cosimo enters the farmhouse from the direction of the old barn, having stabled his horse. He seems a bit surprised he's not the first one here, but it quickly passes. He nods a greeting to the assembly and takes a seat with his back to the wall. #06* Moriel greets Cosimo as well. #06* Ysabeau smiles at Cosimo #06* Eliana nods to Cosimo. "You made it." to date, i have not missed anything i have aimed for #06* Eliana raises an eyebrow. #01 I'll keep that in mind. Well you're study skills were missed, Cosimo #01 Why weren't you aiming to meet with us last night, then? i see. rarely have i been sought out for scholarly pursuits. #06* Cosimo turns to Eliana. "i had other business to see to." #06* Eliana nods. "I see," she says, clipped, before walking to the table and setting her bag on it with a thunk. "I did further research on crystal, though not as much as I would have liked. It seems the Carthaginians would occasionally hide objects in it." Ain't crystals usually pretty clear? Don't make that great a hiding place. #06* Cosimo raises an eyebrow inquisitively. #01 The dagger's crystal is green. #06* Eliana leans back against the table, both gloved hands on the edge. "It may be a reason the dagger was shattered in Thalaba's vision." #01 That or a ritual of some sort, which is hardly out of the question - although, really, there's no reason it can't be both. that sort of dagger is hardly useful as a true weapon. more than likely it served another function What about sacrifice? If your "victim" wasn't a victim but a volunteer? i suppose it could pierce, but it would not cut #01 Have you made any efforts to resume your tutelage under Ragged Jenny, Sabri? i am not a stranger in Jenny's school. it is nice to have a place to practice. but yes, i have visited recently #06* Eliana nods. #01 Since you weren't here two nights ago, I'll give a brief summary: #01 There was a Greek civilization in northeast Britain, in the Lincolnshire and Yorkshire area, and there's a written account of Troile being on the island between 1400 and 1200 BC. #01 Additionally, she was rumored to be Moloch's lover, so if he's stirring, she may be as well. #01 Troile, as may be expected for a fourth-turned-third generation kindred, is incredibly powerful and basically embodies the new Brujah. #01 So we have a general location to where this tomb will likely be, and we still need to investigate the crystal dagger in question. Do you need any clarification? #06* Cosimo nods thoughtfully as Eliana speaks. "no. that will be fine" Jenny no longer possesses the dagger #06* Eliana snorts. "Really." Mm. So she is not...directly responsible for this. That's...something, I suppose. #01 What did she trade it for? A biscuit? magpies are always after shiny objects... the new ones sparkle brighter and they lose interest in the old #06* Moriel raises his eyebrows. "So she knows nothing of its significance?" if she does, she did not speak of it #01 Wonderful. Who did she trade it to? she would not say #06* Eliana claps her hand over her eyes. Ugh. or cannot remember... again, the new shiny is so much more important than the old one #06* Eliana throws her hands up. "Fine." #01 So. What do you suggest we pursue? #06* Eliana asked that generally, then adds, "I can continue research; I can continue research for *years*, though I doubt we have that much time." #06* Moriel considers. "There cannot be very many tombs remaining from that time period. We could simply go look for it. Though I imagine it would be hidden well..." i also thought to visit Thomas. he had no information about the dagger, but he did mention a traveler... came through town... from near Lincolnshire #01 That certainly fits with the picture. Did he say any more? no. but he is looking into things. i owe him a favor #06* Cosimo smiles. We may want to get in touch with Benedict de Vesci. I have heard around court that he lives beneath the cathedral in Lincoln. He may know much more about the lore of the area? #06* Eliana nods, thinking. I have heard rumors that he is very advanced in age. #06* Eliana tries not to sound too surprised: "A good suggestion. Perhaps we should bring up the idea to our prince, then leave to attain an audience and go tomb searching?" #01 I can bring research materials on the way. #06* Ysabeau Smiles widely because she came up with a plan. #06* Cosimo stands up. "sounds like we have a plan then" #06* Moriel nods and tilts his head. "Shall we make the journey in the same fashion as last time?" #06* Rolf growls a little and says, "Yes, please, more stupid delays." Horses were... difficult to come by. So if you mean walking, yes. Ah, your pardon. I meant when we went to Chester. That is, by procuring a cart or a carriage to transport us all. #06* Ysabeau perks up, "OH, well, I suppose I can try requesting one." #06* Eliana nods and says to Ysabeau, "If you would inform the prince of our intentions...?" He requested me soon, so I will be able to yes. #01 Good. #06* Eliana glances around. "If there's nothing else?" #06* Moriel glances at Ysabeau. "If Prince Mithras will provide you a carriage, that would be helpful. If not, I can arrange it. Though it might be a bit cramped for six..." I am not yet accustomed to my prince's preferences, so I may not have enough favor to earn a carriage. #06* Moriel sighs. "If our being dispatched by our prince to errands about the country is going to become a regular occurrence, perhaps we should acquire one for our own permanent use." #06* Cosimo nods in agreement. "i am starting to agree" #01 Reasonable. Frankly, I've been considering just acquiring this property. Perhaps after this is over. Mm. Well, perhaps we can all contribute. That would make it easier. Though there is still the matter of horses. Abdur-Rashid is strong, but he is no beast of burden #06* Moriel shrugs. "Well, we can always hire them as needed. A cart requires far less tending, after all." Let me first approach the prince before we try to find a cart. #06* Moriel nods. "Very well. Shall we meet here again in two nights?" #01 Let's. #06* Eliana picks her bag up, then, and heads back to her haven to do more research. #06* Ysabeau bows to the group and takes her leave <@Dreol> [Session End]
