<@Dreol> [Last time, our "heroes" met with a crazy guy who told a riddle about a bull a cat and a snake flying at midnight in a couple days. He found it very funny and Cosimo has just returned from talking to him. Now they must decide what they do.] <@Dreol> [Begin.] #06* Rolf already decided what to do! "Let's keep our heads down and keep watch for Victoria's movement." #06* Moriel was basically doing that already, so he settles in to wait, watching the town below with a distant expression. #06* Eliana glances at Moriel, then settles in, signing her interpretation of the riddle to Cosimo with her hands near her lap and shielded from everyone else. #06* Cosimo nods to Eliana. <@Dreol> [A few nights later, the group is watching the same building that Victoria has been in for days and then the door opens. An enormous kindred, probably a Brujah, walks out of the building, he is dressed in thick leathers and chain mail and carries a massive war hammer. Following him is a smaller man who is dressed in nicely made, expensive-looking clothing. He has a hood raised over his head and the hood is adorned with the image of a serpent spiraled around it. Following him is Victoria. She looks healthy, but a bit tired. They leave the building and begin heading north, over the hill and into the woods.] #06* Eliana murmurs, "The bull, the snake, and the cat. That was surprisingly simple." #06* Rolf carefully makes sure everyone is up and ready to move, and once they've got a bit of their head start, growls out a, "Time to follow." #06* Eliana nods. #06* Moriel rises without a word and slips silently after the others. #06* Thalaba goes along with the group #06* Eliana quietly finishes her ritual, pulling shadows over herself before walking after the others. #06* Cosimo silently brings up the rear, figuring someone should watch their backs as well. <@Dreol> [As you all follow Victoria and company, Thalaba and Moriel are almost certain they hear some rustling around them, but it isn't clear what it is. This goes on for a couple nights, until finally they definitely hear some snapping of twigs and footsteps to the east, nearby, and even the rest of you manage to hear some noise coming from that direction.] #06* Rolf growls lowly and gestures around in a circle, saying lowly, "Spread out and check that." Rolf heads more towards the noise directly, walking into some of the natural foliage. #06* Cosimo nods to Rolf and moves into the shadows. #06* Rolf seems to crouch for a second, and then starts to get smaller very quickly, becoming furrier before he continues heading towards the noise out of sight for a second. #06* Eliana glances, then moves quickly, around what's hopefully the perimeter and for some cover. #06* Moriel flicks a glance at Rolf, then at Eliana, and slides into shadows, following a little ways behind her as she circles around. <@Dreol> [Moments later, four figures appear from the forest. A tall, muscular man, dressed in loose fitting brown and black clothing, a slightly smaller man, in similar clothing, a young woman, dressed in a dress of light green fabric, and much smaller man. He looks to be about fifteen and he is dressed in much nicer looking clothing of brighter colors, blues and reds. The tall man speaks first. "We have been following you, and the other group of your kind. You destroy villages, ravage the forests, and burn the countryside. You will go no further."] #06* Moriel 's expression flickers, not that anyone can see it just now. #06* Eliana steps out of cover and into the open. She asks the tall man, "Did you stop the other group of 'our kind'?" <@Dreol> [The larger man speaks up. "We have another group moving to stop them now."] #06* Rolf will step out as a wolf, then, large and grey-brown, and then un-wolf into his own massive form to regard the werewolves and give them a low welcoming growl. #06* Eliana nods and opens her mouth to speak, but she's cut off by Rolf's appearance. She blinks at him. <@Dreol> [The smaller man in brown growls. "Enough talk. We should kill them for what they've done! They have slaughtered villages, and kidnapped our kind." The taller man holds up his hand and turns to Rolf. "What have you to say, wyrmkin? And how many of you have hidden?"] #06* Moriel materializes out of the shadows and says quietly, "You may believe we all serve the wyrm, but if that's so, we certainly do not all wish to do so." #06* Rolf growls out, "I am no village slaughterer... you are all very much mistaken." #06* Eliana frowns and makes a mental note to brush up on this 'wyrm' stuff. <@Dreol> [The young man growls. "Is that so? Whether or not you wish to serve the wyrm and whether you admit to slaughtering the villages or not, we have seen your kind do it, we know that they come in the night to terrorize the humans, and they have taken several of our kind as well."] #06* Moriel tilts his head, frowning in thought. "In this area, particularly?" #06* Rolf growls back, "You do not know of the... war amongst us, but you say you've been watching?" #06* Eliana snorts, folding her arms. "Clearly not very closely, given they're so willing to paint us all with the same brush." #06* Moriel glances aside at Eliana, but doesn't say anything. <@Dreol> [The young man speaks again to Moriel? "All over!" And then the taller man speaks again to Rolf "You speak of war, and yet there has been little fighting. How are we to know you are at war? And how are we to know whose side you are on. It is better to stop the destroyers now."] #06* Moriel rubs at the frown line between his brows and glances at Rolf, since he's the leader. Maybe he wants to explain all this. #06* Eliana mutters something in Latin about idiots as she looks away and makes a series of motions with her fingers. #06* Thalaba reveals herself from the shadows but remains off to the side, just listening to the conversation now. She raises her head to the sky, looking at the moon and clouds. #06* Rolf draws himself up to his full height, eyes glowing, and says, "I am Rolf, here, with these companions, to stalk the ones in front of us to their lair, that we may end their threat. We move in secret behind them. We are not who you have issue with." <@Dreol> [The taller man growls, unsure of what Rolf is saying and then young woman raises her hand. "Harold. This young man? I know him. The villagers speak of him? Well not of him exactly, they speak of one they call 'The Manwolf' he is said to have appeared in the dark and protected villages from bandits." The taller man nods and thinks for a moment. "Very well, Rolf? We shall not attack you?. not yet. We shall listen to your tale. I am Harold of the Fianna tribe. This is Jacob" He motions to the slightly smaller man. "Diana" He motions towards the woman, "and Philip" He motions towards the young man. "Tell me your story?"] #06* Moriel smiles almost imperceptibly as the garou introduce themselves. #06* Rolf growls, nodding slightly and says, "Yeah, but you must make sure the others of your tribe do not let them know about this group..." he trails off, then says, "It's all the difference." #06* Eliana pinches at the top of her nose. "This could take a while," she murmurs, while signing, <@Dreol> [Harold nods and motions to Philip. "Go find Martin's pack and make sure they keep this group of wyrmkin a secret." Philip nods and goes to leave, but just as he is about to a scream is heard from the north, followed by a lot of growling and the snapping of branches. The four werewolves all move quickly forward to get a better look.] #06* Eliana jerks her attention that way, and she moves as well but behind, sharpening her auspex so she can see farther. #06* Moriel bares his teeth in a grimace and darts after them, sliding into shadows again as he goes. #06* Rolf lopes along with them, to keep track of that same issue. After all, it's his thing too. #06* Cosimo follows quietly from the shadows, taking extra care to remain his usual stealthy self, but mostly because he'd do that anyway (usual stealthy self and all) #06* Thalaba uses this moment to fall into step with Eliana and speaks quickly. "Before we left I had a vision. We are going to have to run from something... into a cave. Once we are in the cave I know which way we need to go. " #06* Eliana glances at Thalaba. Something's on the tip of her tongue, but she stops herself and instead asks, "Do you find that near?" #06* Thalaba shakes her head "I don't know how long we are chased before we find the cave." <@Dreol> [Ahead can be seen Victoria's group of vampires. Ahead of them is a group of werewolves very much like Harold's group; however, they are all in the middle of transforming into their hybrid form. But they are not attacking the vampires, instead a pack of six large, hybrid werewolves with scars across their arms and back are lunging forward attacking them. Harold looks confused. "Those are Gets. We have never been on good terms with them, but I can't imagine them helping the Wyrm." Just as he says that, a smaller tree to his left snaps in half as a dark- brown furred werewolf that is missing an eye lunges forward and tackle Harold to the ground, who immediately transforms into his own hybrid form, followed quickly by the rest of his pack, as suddenly a dozen scarred, hybrid werewolves appear around you all.] #06* Eliana looks around to see what's happening. "Of course," she says, softly. <@Dreol> [Session End]
