[Somewhere in the north of England, January 11th 1261, 4 AM] [Last time, you all fought a group of Gets of Fenris after placating a group of Fianna, who subsequently died. You then ran, and, following Thalaba's visions, made your way through a series of tunnels, followed by said Gets. You have now emerged from the cave to find yourselves on a cliff overlooking a massive underground city. Immediately after arriving, you heard a lion's roar in the distance.] [Begin.] #06* Eliana murmurs, "She wasted no time." She looks at Moriel, still in her arms, assessing the damage. Nope, just as hurt as before. [To your left there is a ramp that leads down to the level of the city. The front gates are in front of you and on either side of those gates is a towering black werewolf in hybrid form riddled with scars.] #06* Moriel murmurs, "Likely not by her choice...but why did they not just kill her?" [The werewolves appear to be standing guard.] #06* Rolf snarls slightly before saying, "If she roars, than we need to go. But the people who can't move can't go with us." #06* Moriel glances at Carlyle. "I can hide. But is he conscious enough?" [There are howls heard from behind you as well, as the pack of wolves gets closer.] [Carlyle nods and then disappears from sight.] Leave us, then. We'll have to hope the garou can't see through obfuscation. Put me down, please, Eliana. #06* Eliana frowns at Moriel, then sets him down. #06* Moriel steps aside, and the nearby shadows reach out to engulf him. #06* Eliana glances around. "Who cannot obfuscate?" #06* Rolf looks to Eliana, growls sharply, then says, "I can, uh, turn into a bat and attempt to find her first." [Leonardo shrugs. "I cannot."] #06* Rolf looks between all of them and says, "Can you all hide together while I fly about, then, n'catch your breath?" #06* Eliana nods. "We can." She steps closer to Leonardo and murmurs for a few minutes before reaching to one side and down, grabbing at the nearest shadow, and pulling it over them like a cloak. #06* Moriel is already obfuscated, so that answers that question for him. #06* Thalaba does the same, stepping back closer to the wall. #06* Rolf nods as people hide up and then takes a step up into the air, almost, his body shifting up and into a large brown batlike form, taking to the air of the cavern with a growfskree. <@Dreol> [As Rolf flies over the city, he sees that inside the city walls are both kindred and humans. They seem mostly unharmed. The buildings are made of the stones of the cave itself and There are a few markets, like any city, and at each of the gates stand two massive werewolves. Farther into the city is a massive palace made of stone. In front of which stand a dozen fully armored kindred warriors.] #06* Rolf is mainly looking for Vicky, but wow, that explains how vampires can keep humans in line: deputized werwilfs. <@Dreol> [Rolf follows the origin of the roar to another tunnel, this one going further under the city.] #06* Rolf flits down another tunnel. Another tunnel? Weird. <@Dreol> [Rolf flies down through the tunnel. It twists and turns and eventually opens up into a large room. The first thing Rolf notices is along the walls are giant cells behind which are chained werewolves in their hybrid forms. They have fresh gashes down their chests, arms and back that are bleeding and they seem exhausted. In the center of the room is a vampire armed with a whip that glitters as if it is threaded with flakes of silver and silver tipped spear. He is lying on the ground, presumably unconscious. Next to him, equally unconscious, is Victoria.] <@Dreol> [About this time a pack of wolves exit out of the cave. They return to their hybrid forms and begin walking around the cliff, sniffing around as they do so.] #06* Eliana frowns. They clearly can't handle being spotted, but just the same... she tries to look for an efficient hiding place, pref. one that can mask their smell. At worst, they could duck back the way they came. #06* Moriel tenses but stays as still as he can, not that anyone can see him. Being covered in his own blood is distinctly worrisome at the moment... <@Dreol> [Eliana moves around as the wolves walk closer to her and the rest of the group. They sniff around her location a bit, but seem more interested in a stronger smell. One of the Garou walks up right in front of Moriel's location and sniffs a couple of times, then growls... Then his head snaps back towards the city as a kindred emerges dressed in fine blue silk attire. He has long black hair and wields a silver longsword. The werewolves approach him and he looks up at them. "What did you find?" the wolves snarl and growl and then one of them returns to human form, where his scars are much more obvious and plentiful. "We discovered a group of kindred following the group of refugees. They seemed to be concerned about one of the refugees and they fought along side the Fianna. They escaped into these caves." The man nods. "We have learned as much. I sent Lord Fanis to deal with her. You should return to the barracks for your reward." The Garou in human form nods and walks into the city, followed by the rest of the pack.] #06* Eliana focuses on the vampire from her new hiding place, studying him. <@Dreol> [The vampire returns to the gates and begins talking to the guards. "DId anyone come through here?" One of the guards shakes his head.] <@Dreol> [The man dressed in expensive clothes returns back into the city and walks out of sight.] #06* Eliana murmurs to whoever's nearby, "Does anyone know who that was?" <@Dreol> [Leonardo shakes his head and whispers. "No."] #06* Moriel relaxes a little as their pursuers disappear into the city. He says softly, "Not I." <@Dreol> [Over the city two large brown bats are seen approaching the group before they land on cliff, one of them changing shape into the bloody and injured form of Victoria, her wild hair matted with blood and her body littered with claw marks. She sighs and winces. "Hi."] #06* Eliana comments from the shadows, "You've looked better. What happened?" #06* Moriel reappears as shadows fall away from him. "Perhaps we should discuss that as we're leaving this place." #06* Rolf forms as well, saying, "That ain't the important thing. People are comin' and we gotta get out of here." <@Dreol> [Victoria smiles some and then nods and starts heading into the caves. "Yeah... let's go."] #06* Moriel starts to move and winces, putting a hand to his lacerated chest. #06* Eliana lets out a small sigh, then pulls the shadows away so Moriel can see her before moving to pick him up again. #06* Moriel glances after Victoria, who looks even more beat up than him. "Can you make it?" <@Dreol> [She nods. "I've been through worse."] #06* Moriel nods, and then is picked up. Since Eliana was thoughtful enough to let him see her beforehand, he doesn't freak out this time. #06* Eliana moves quickly, both because they're basically fleeing and because her unusual strength will only last for so long. <@Dreol> [The group traverses the caves using a combination of Thalaba's vision and Eliana's memory to get through and then, finally, they see the exit and as soon as they burst out into the open, a large figure leaps in front of them from atop the cave. It is the hulking figure of the Brujah that was escorting Victoria. "Not so fast, little one... we can't let you leave... at least not alive."] #06* Thalaba steps into sight and is soon moving after people. <@Dreol> [Session End]
