<@Dreol> [A cave north of Belit-Sheri's tower, December 20th 1261, 3:00 AM] <@Dreol> [After a few hours of traveling, Helena has led you to a cavern to the north of Belit-Sheri's tower. She leads you inside, and you seem to be walking for quite a while and descending deeper underground when finally you spot a light up ahead. There are a lanterns hang from metal posts that have been secured to the wall and give off some faint light which reveals Belit-Sheri, whom you have met before, two coffins, a few pieces of simple furniture, some chairs, a table, and a beautiful young man with dark curly hair. Helena smiles upon seeing him and then walks swiftly forward. They take each other in their arms for a moment, kiss and then she turns to the rest of you and regains her commanding tone. "This is Paris..." Belit-Sheri, on the other hand, stands and pulls back the hood on her cloak, her eyes lock on and stare at Anstace. "Fascinating..." is all she says.] <@Dreol> [Begin.] 01 (Is this all in Latin?) 06* Rolf rolls his eyes slightly. Toreador in spirit. He doesn't interrupt Belit-Sheri's enjoyment of staring at weird ladies from the past, however. <@Dreol> (It's in Latin) 06* Eliana raises an eyebrow. "A pleasure," she says, only vaguely polite since she doesn't lower her hood. "I'm Eliana. I've seen you at Mithras' court in the past." 06* Moriel bows in automatic politeness, but stays quiet, awaiting developments. 06* Anstace looks around the room, and then to the two timeless lovers, and then at the figure who seems to have focused her entire attention Anstace's way. Out of the corner of her eye, she notices Moriel bowing, and curtseys. <@Dreol> [Paris nods. "Yes. We visiting with Prince Mithras to give him our advice on the current struggle with Troile." Helena nods. "I don't go anywhere without Paris. It's too dangerous. We have too many enemies."] 06* Moriel tilts his head and says quietly, "Unfortunate that you are so conspicuous, then." <@Dreol> [Belit Sheri nods to Moriel, signaling for him to stand up and then moves towards Anstace. "I am Belit-Sheri, the Scribe of the Earth, and a kindred from the original line of Brujah as... I believe, are you..."] <@Dreol> [Helena shrugs to Moriel. "But fortunate that we are so good at staying alive."] 06* Moriel nods acknowledgment at Helena and turns back to Belit-Sheri and Anstace, watching quietly. 06* Anstace watches Belit-Sheri. "you would be correct. I am Anstace, childer of Clytius of Athens, the warrior-scholar and librarian of Carthage." <@Dreol> [Belit-Sheri nods. "I see... How came you to this place? How did you survive all these years without my knowledge?"] 06* Anstace looks at Belit-Sheri flatly. "i was brought to this place by the ones you see before you. they found me where i slept in torpor since the siege of Carthage." <@Dreol> [Belit-Sheri nods. "I see..." She turns towards the rest of you. "And what have you come seeking?"] 06* Moriel steps forward to answer, presuming no one else does. "You may have heard that those of New Carthage have been seeking Troile's lover Moloch. We hope to find him before they do." We have a little information... <@Dreol> [Belit-Sheri nods. "I see... And what information do you have?"] 06* Moriel turns to Eliana, since she's the one with the perfect memory, and also the one who actually did the blood ritual that got them their information. 06* Eliana blinks, and then her gaze travels past Belit-Sheri, her eyes gaining a faraway look. "One who took Moloch from his tomb was a Brujah named Caderyn. He is short, with light brown hair, brown eyes, and a thin face." 01 His sire is Eóghan and sixth generation. He has weathered features, wild dark hair, and green eyes. 01 And his sire is fifth generation. Altamira. She has cold blue eyes that seem very old, as well as long, dark hair. She seems to have seen much battle. 06* Moriel glances back to Belit-Sheri. "If it helps, I believe there were twelve total who took Moloch from his tomb." 01 Pierre de Fontaine had told us that his research indicates they returned to the British Isles and were last seen in Southern Ireland. He advised we consult you. 06* Eliana blinks again and shakes her head, her eyes regaining focus. <@Dreol> [She nods. "I see..." She moves to the back of the room where her coffin lies and retrieves a thick old tome. She flips through it and nods. "There was a group of Brujah who traveled this way many years ago... They... separated. One group took Troile into Northern England where she fought with and was eventually defeated by Greek hunters and imprisoned where you found her. The other group..." She stares straight ahead, her eyes unblinking and unmoving, and then the cave melts away. Instead, you find yourselves in a large, open green expanse of rolling hills at night. Five horsemen are coming across the hills. One of them has an additional rider. A groggy looking man with lengthy, untamed black hair, dressed in bright purple Phoenician robes is seated in front of the rider. They ride past you and stop at the top of one of the taller hills and look down on the valley below. In the valley are several smaller villages. One of the men turns to the one that is transporting the groggy man and speaks in Latin. "All of this will be ours Eóghan." The rider with the groggy man nods. "In time... We must find a place for Moloch to gather his strength... The village below... we will take it and beneath that village we will build a glorious tomb for Moloch... When he is ready, he will rise and unite with Troile and lead our people to the conquest that we deserve. Until then, Caderyn, we must be patient." Caderyn nods. "Why is it that he is not recovering the way Troile has?" Eóghan shakes his head. "He was attacked with a weapon of ancient magic before he fell into torpor. We must find that weapon... we must find a way to reverse the damage." The scene shifts... Now you are in a village, it is engulfed in flames and four of the five riders lie on the ground, burned and dying. Around them lie the bodies of armored soldiers. One of the riders is running towards a stone structure, the only building not burning. Eóghan yells at the rider, who is Caderyn. "Caderyn! Get him inside... Barricade yourselves and don't come out. Caderyn does just that... dragging Moloch's body into the building and shutting the heavy wooden door behind him. The last surviving armored soldier rushes to chase Caderyn, but he is not fast enough, with the last reserves of his strength Eóghan jumps to his feet and runs at celerity speeds towards the knight, tackling him into one of the burning buildings, which proceeds to collapse on top of them. The vision disappears and you are once again back in the cave. Belit-Sheri collapses to her knees in exhaustion.] 06* Anstace steps forward to help Belit-Sheri up. 06* Moriel 's eyes widen and he stills, processing all that. 06* Eliana frowns and averts her gaze from the others as she works on making sure the entire scene is committed to memory. 06* Moriel 's brows draw down and he looks over at Belit-Sheri. "Do you know anything of the weapon that injured Moloch, lady?" 06* Rolf groans softly and shakes his head, before growling out, "So he's in some village in a valley... some Brujah named Caderyn..." <@Dreol> [Belit-Sheri shakes her head to Moriel. "I do not. There are many weapons of powerful magic... But I would need a more specific location in time to take a glimpse of... and it takes a lot of strength to use that power. It would be Roman, though, most likely... As it was used in the attack on Carthage."] 06* Moriel nods, frowning more in thought. 06* Rolf scratches the back of his head. "The tomb we found you in had a tribute to Moloch bowl at the entrance. I mean... he was there for a time. Can't you, uh... look at when the brujah took him?" <@Dreol> [Belit-Sheri shakes her head. "He was injured before he went into torpor. I would have to know where and when that was. I may be able to try again, but not tonight..."] 06* Anstace helps support Belit-Sheri. "as i was trying to escape the city during the siege, i saw a soldier... a Roman... with a strange weapon. it was like a dagger with a handle that he held from within. it was not a common weapon to the Roman legion." 06* Eliana mutters, "Tell me it wasn't made of crystal." not that i recall, though it did have strange lettering. it was not a common blade carried by the Roman legion, which is why it caught my attention. 06* Moriel shakes his head. "No...the crystal one didn't have a grip like that. Unless the blade was transferred to a different hilt..." 06* Eliana nods. 06* Anstace checks to see if Belit-Sheri is recovered. "i also recall reading a scroll in Alexandria that mentioned a strange, dagger-like weapon, unique in that when used against our kind, it was extremely powerful. it was called Kali's Fang. sadly the scroll did not mention contain any other description" 06* Eliana nods. 06* Anstace looks back to the party. "perhaps it is the same?" 01 It would be useful. Our priority should still be to find Moloch, particularly if he hasn't awakened yet. 01 A stake through the heart and decapitation should work just as well. 06* Moriel nods. <@Dreol> [Belit-Sheri perks up for a minute. "Kali's Fang... I know of that weapon. Yes... it is an extremely powerful dagger. Damage from that dagger is very hard to recover from... and if the dagger pierces a vampires heart, there is no recovery... I do not know much about the location of the Fang, however."] <@Dreol> [Helena nods. "The location of the fang is unimportant. As Eliana said, we must find Moloch, somewhere in Ireland." A slight smile crosses her face. "And I happen to know a pretty good source of information in those lands."] 06* Moriel turns to Helena, eyebrows rising. "Yes, my lady?" <@Dreol> [She nods. "There is a... creature... One of the fair folk... he lives in the south of Ireland. I will draw you a map. I must stay behind, we have other things to attend to. But... You must be respectful at all times... Tell him that Helen sent you. I will send a letter with you explaining..."] 06* Moriel nods understanding. "Thank you, my lady." 01 Much appreciated. Is there anything we can do for you in return? <@Dreol> [She shakes her head. "Do not mention my whereabouts to anybody, and remember that I helped you in the future."] 01 Reasonable. Consider it done. 06* Rolf grumbles, "Yeah, like we'll forget." 06* Moriel bows to Helena. "Of course, my lady." <@Dreol> [Helena turns and retrieves a piece of parchment. She draws an extremely detailed map of southeastern Ireland, rolls it up and ties a ribbon around it and then proceeds to draft a letter on paper, folds it and retrieves a candle, taking a deep breath before she does so and then dripping some hot wax onto the letter, and turning to Paris, she retrieves a ring from his finger and presses the wax closed, and then presses her own ring atop the seal, before handing both the map and letter to Eliana. The seal on the letter is a rose design that has both an H and a P on opposite petals of the rose. "There you are. You may stay the day here, but you must leave tomorrow night, we cannot risk you being followed and our whereabouts being learned."] <@Dreol> [Belit-Sheri, who has accepted Anstace's help nods to her now, indicating that she is okay and she makes her way over to one of the chairs and sits down.] 06* Anstace nods and steps back to rejoin the rest of her companions. 06* Eliana nods, tucking both the map and letter away safely. She moves to claim a section of the cave, then settles down to read. <@Dreol> [Session End.]
