[London, January 21st 1262, 8:00 PM] [Five nights ago, the night after Rolf reported back to Mithras, a messenger arrived with a note informing him that a clan meeting will be held on January 21st at a clearing in the woods north of London (detailed directions to the location were provided). Tonight, when he arrives at that location, he sees five other Gangrel seated on logs and rocks that have been arranged in a circle. There is no fire or artificial light of any kind. Among those present are Caerel, who has claimed a large boulder as his chair, and Victoria, who is leaning against a fallen log. The other three Gangrel are ones that Rolf is less familiar with, though he has seen them at various court meetings. There is a smaller, mousier Gangrel boy. He looks to be about seventeen. He is scrawny and sports a light brown fur that, at first glance, just appears to be a tan. He also has a pair of long, flat front teeth, which match his mouse-like appearance. There is a woman who appears to be in her mid-thirties. She has a pair of large bat ears that are barely visible beneath her tawny brown cloak and hood, and finally there is a man who seems to be in his early 20s. His skin is black as night and when the moonlight catches it, it is clear that his skin is actually black scales. Caerel nods to Rolf as he enters and then motions to Victoria, "Good evening, Rolf. You know Victoria of course." He then moves on to the others. "This is Timothy," he says, pointing to the mousy one, "Glenna," motioning to the woman, "and Didacus," motioning to the Gangrel with the scales. "Have a seat. We have much to discuss."] [Begin.] 06* Rolf growls and bows his head slightly in acknowledgement, before saying, "Ain't there always." [Caerel nods. "I would like to hear what everyone has to say. God knows, I'm no good at leading these things, but I personally am sick of this courtly nonsense. We need to march somewhere and start letting our claws do the talking. I am glad Rolf is here. He has seen more combat in this war than any of us, so I would like to know where he stands, but I think it is time for us to strike."] 06* Rolf takes his set and replies, "How's that? Less... dancin' 'round the edges?" [Glenna nods. "Yes. Our clan needs to step up as the swordarm of the alliance, and the only way to do that is to attack carthage head on. I know that there is a concern over this ritual, and the knife, but if we attack now, we can force the Carthaginians to fight both us and the lupines while we are both at our best."] [Timothy shakes his head. "I am not as certain that this is the time to march north. Perhaps we should look into this Khali's Fang. If we were to possess it, we could use it to kill Troile and the Carthaginians would crumble."] 06* Rolf exhales and looks around at everyone. "It'd be damn hard to get her down... with or without it." [Victoria nods to Rolf. "We've seen this place first hand. It's a fortress and her forces are incredibly strong." Caerel nods to Victoria and Rolf, "What would you suggest, Rolf? You have the most experience dealing with the enemy."] 06* Rolf sighs and looks up, before saying, "Ground fighters... don't think 'bout the air. Let us fly out easy enough. S'what gave us our real chance there." [Caerel nods. "Do you agree then, Rolf? We should attack Carthage? But with a more strategic and precise attack, maybe? Fly into the heart of the forces and try to take out some high status types?"] 06* Rolf is silent a moment, then nods slightly and says, "Maybe... maybe that means we do need Kali's fang. But... another thing. Their lupines... if we could figure out what's keepin' em enslaved, we could turn their damn city on its ear." Their damn... silver whips. Whatever magic's drivin' them. [Didacus nods. "Do you know of a way we might disrupt this charm they have on the lupines?"] 06* Rolf shakes his head. "No, I... couldn't even get 'em to respond with a drop'a sense." [Caerel nods. "Sadly, I don't know how that magic stuff works." Victoria nods. "It's clear that we have to do something, though. We are losing more ground. A got a message from one of my contacts in Yorkshire, last month 3 new towns were attacked by Carthage. It is becoming harder to hide our existence even from those who have not seen the Carthaginians in action."] [Glenna nods. "Perhaps it would be a good idea to determine where we feel the priority is the highest and send our forces there. If we believe that retrieving this fang is the most important thing, we should organize a force to take it once we know where it is. If we believe that attacking Carthage is the top priority, maybe we should send our forces to do that while a smaller group goes to retrieve the fang and bring it to the battle."] [Caerel sighs. "Whatever we do... I am sick of waiting around..."] 06* Rolf chuckles a little and replies, "Yeah... if we find a way to get the fang, or a way to loose the lupines, we can stop them in their tracks." [Victoria grins and chuckles. "I'm pretty sure you could put a pretty big dent in them without it, Rolf. With how you handled that Baali."] [She continues after a pause... "Which, as it happens, is the second time you've saved my life... the first being in Carthage... Maybe we should throw you at the Carthaginians so I have the opportunity to pay you back."] 06* Rolf grins, then says, "Yeah, but you ain't seen Troile. She's... faster than I've ever seen. That kinda speed... I'll fight anyone who can teach it to me." [Caerel nods. "You're the only one here who has seen it, so we'll have to take your word for it, but anyone who can threaten Mithras like she has been is someone to be reckoned with."] [Caerel stands. "For now, perhaps, we should adjourn and look into the suggestions that have been presented here tonight... We will meet again two weeks from tonight at this location." The others all stand and nod and Caerel continues. "Thank you all for coming tonight."] 06* Rolf growfs and nods. "To Carthage fallin' a second time." [There is a round of cheers at that and some laughing and then the group starts to depart. As Victoria passes Rolf, she nudges him. "I'm telling you... this leadership thing is startin' to stick to ya. Better be careful... people'r startin' to look up to ya."] 06* Rolf grins down at her. "Most people look up to me, that ain't nothin' new." [She laughs. "I s'pose your social status is just catching up with your physique."] 06* Rolf grins fangily and replies, "So figurin' you're in that 'people' group, eh?" [She shrugs. "Eh... we'll see." She grins up at him and keeps walking. "I'll see you in a couple weeks, if not sooner."] [Session Endish.]
