[Just outside London, February 5th 1262, 10:00 PM] [The second meeting of the Gangrels is scheduled for tonight and as Rolf approaches the clearing he sees the same five Gangrel as he did two weeks ago seated on logs and rocks in the pitch blackness of the night, but, of course, they can all see perfectly. Caerel nods and growls lowly to Rolf. "Rolf, welcome... have a seat and tell us what you have discovered in these past weeks."] [Begin] 06* Rolf slouches in, taking his seat before he says, "The Court'a Love decided to let us know where Kali's Fang was. Some Tzimice baron down in their lands has it." [Timothy perks up at this information and nods. "Well that is some good news... We just have to convince Mithras to send some resources in that direction." Caerel nods, "Rolf, what have you discovered about this fang?"] 06* Rolf shakes his head slightly. "Nothin' great. Made by a magician... before he became Kindred. Which is weird, 'cause it'll do good damage to one of us, and kill you if it gets your heart." [There is nodding pretty much all around the circle and Caerel continues, "What do you think would be the best course of action, Rolf? Since you attained this information. Do you believe we should pursue the fang?"] 06* Rolf growls, rumbling in his throat for a moment, then says lowly, "It's the best way I can see to make a real strike, short of freein' all the lupines. But I don't know much 'bout this... Lambach Ruthven who's got it." And like we said last time, we're runnin' out of time to help 'em do damage. [Caerel nods... "I am not familiar with this Tzimisce either, but striking the heart of Tzimisce territory will be difficult. They are no friends of Mithras and the Ventrue, on a positive note, I know that Mithras has some allies in control of strongholds near Transylvania that we could use as a closer point to attack from... Do you plan to bring this information to Mithras' attention?"] 06* Rolf shrugs a big shrug. "If I don't, someone else will." He pauses, then looks around as he adds, "Part'a me wonders if they're already thinkin' about stuff that ain't the war. Their own hands on that fang." But Carthage needs to be stopped, 'cause they won't stop as long as there's anything 'gainst 'em. [Caerel nods. "I agree... the question becomes what action are we going to support... Should we march on Carthage now, perhaps after some research on how to free the Lupines, or should we pursue this fang...?"] 06* Rolf grunts and says, "Don't know for sure any more than last time... it's all a question of if we've got the time left." [Caerel shrugs and sighs... "We have no way of knowing... We know the Lupines are losing. They have many in their number but we have no way of knowing if they will survive long enough for us to get the fang. There is certainly a chance that they will... But we will also be less well-equipped to fight off Carthage without that weapon... So we should decide now what we believe is the best course of action. I am not the best at politics, but we should attempt to present a united front in court, so perhaps we should agree here on the course of action now together... If you believe we should march now, rather than pursue the fang, please stand on the east side of the clearing. If you believe we should pursue the fang, please stand on the west side of the clearing. I will withhold my opinion, as we are an even number, and my voice will carry the opinions of all of you."] [Timothy and Didacus both move to the west side of the clearing. And Glenna quickly moves to the east. Victoria hesitates a moment, looking at Rolf to see if he is leaning one way or the other.] 06* Rolf looks around as Careel asks, before he exhales and stands to lumber westward. [Victoria nods and joins Rolf on the west side of the clearing and Caerel nods. "Well it is decided then. We will tell Mithras that the Gangrel support the pursuit of the fang." Glenna sighs... "I do not agree with this course of action. I feel we are abandoning our kin to the north... But... a united clan is better than a divided one." She shrugs. "So I will cede to the decision of the clan."] [Caerel nods. "We will all meet again at Mithras' court, then... thank you for spending your night here... You are free to go..."] [Glenna Didacus and Timothy all grunt and leave... Victoria sighs and grins her big toothy grin at Rolf before heading off herself. "I'll see you at court, Rolf."] 06* Rolf smiles back slightly and says, "Same. Fare well." Before looking up at the moon and chuckling weakly. "Not like you got them into it," he murmurs. [Caerel hops off his boulder and pats Rolf on the back as he passes. "People look up to you, Rolf... you're a leader... we need that... "] 06* Rolf looks to Caerel and laughs slightly. "They look up because I'm taller, Caerel." He shakes his head. "Carthage's just got it all wrong. And they're doin' a lot of damage 'cause of it." [He nods. "That we can all agree on. I hope that retrieving this weapon helps win us the fight. You've fought Troile... What's she like? Is she as terrifying as they say?"] 06* Rolf chuckles and says, "I'm not terrified. But she has the speed that decides the hunt... and that was just having risen, with blood barely on her lips. Hopefully the oldest of us on our side can stand against that long enough to score a hit with the Fang." [Caerel nods. "I see... Yes, hopefully that is true. I wonder if Mithras will step down off his throne and join the fight."] It'd be nice to see. Hard enough to respect someone who won't... uh, bare his fangs when it's needed. [Caerel nods. "I am in agreement, Rolf..." He starts to walk out of the clearing... "We shall see. Have a good evening."] [Session End]
