Appearance and Personality

Demetria believes herself to be the last Pythia (or the Oracle of Delphi, as she is more commonly known). It is unknown whether her belief is accurate or a dilusion. She at least appears to have visions, and they are often fairly accurate ones. Demetria is often dressed in fine clothing. Her hair is long and dark. In public, her hair is tied up around her head, but when she is consulted as the Oracle, her hair is loose. She speaks in often cryptic terms and believes that Apollo speaks through her even now, as he has through the other oracles.

History

Demetria was born in Greece in 542 B.C. and embraced by Nissiku in 520 B.C. Beyond that, little is known of her origins. It is known that during her travels she sired at least three childer: Augustus, and the twin sisters Valeria, and Luciana. She arrived in the British Isles around 1066 A.D. during the Norman invasion, claiming to have been wandering the continent of Europe since Emperor Theodosius I closed the temple of Delphi. She arrived with Augustus, and Valeria (Luciana arriving some time later) and proceeded to change locations in Britain looking for a place to re-establish herself as Pythia. Finally, in 1170 she came to settle in St. Alban's Church in London, where Augustus and Valeria serve as her attendance, Luciana making the rare appearance in Valeria's absence.

Prophecy

Demetria is not known for spouting true prophecies, but in recent history, she has delivered one. During a meeting of the Masquerade clans to decide how to proceed with the war in February of 1262, Demetria interrupted the proceedings and delivered the following prophecy:

Within the east there lies the greatest key
Both friend and foe from it do surely flee
A keyholder must choose the correct door
For once it's used the key shall turn no more
And From this choice will some great power rise
A traitor born while yet another dies
