Appearance and Personality

Salianna is a classically beautiful woman in her early 20s. She has thick, dark hair that is always styled in the latest parisian style. She loves fashion and is never seen in the same clothes twice. She is warm and welcoming to her guests, and has a reputation for being one of the most hospitable hosts of the kindred rulers.

History

Salianna was born in 109 A.D. to a wealthy, parisian family. She was always fascinated by fashion and art. Her father eventually hired her a drawing master, and she quickly showed promise in both drawing and fashion design. One night when she was 21, just after sundown, she was walking through the market in a dress of her own making, and she was approached by a foreign nobleman named "Michael." He complimented her on her dress, and, upon learning it was her own design, demanded to see her other designs as well. He escorted her to her house, where he introduced himself to her father and expressed an interest in commissioning a dress from Salianna. While her father was adamant that Salianna was no mere artist for hire and they were no merchants, Salianna begged her father to allow her to create the gown and he, reluctantly, acceded. Salianna worked tirelessly on the gown, and when it was finished, Michael returned to compliment her on it and request that she wear it herself to a dinner that he was hosting in his manor outside of town. Her whole family was invited, and the manor was even grander than theirs.

There, after dinner, Michael approached Salianna and told her that he desired her companionship, and that he could make her young and beautiful forever. Salianna, concerned for her parents, was hesitant at first, but promised to consider the offer. On the way home, her family's carriage was attacked by assassins. Her parents died defending her, but before the assassins could kill Salianna, Michael appeared as if from no where and tore the attackers apart with razor sharp claws. He knelt by Salianna and wept with her for her family. He admitted that he knew there was a risk in inviting her, as there have been assassins after him ever since he left the safety of his home in Constantinople. He took Salianna with him back to his manor and the next night she accepted his offer of eternal youth. He fed her some of his own blood and as his ghoul took her with him to return to Constaninople, where she was sired a few years later. She lived there, with him and his companions, for 400 years before returning on her own to Paris to establish her own court in the manor that Michael briefly called home. After several centuries Salianna became Matriarch Salianna, ruler of Paris, and, indeed, all of France.
